In House Laboratory

Our hospital has in house blood chemistry, CBC, and parasite testing.  Much of our lab work is completed in house the same day which allows us to make decisions on sick patients the same day instead of waiting for lab work to come back.  It also allows us to complete same day pre-surgical blood testing which helps ensure safe sedation and anesthesia for our patients.

Dental Cleaning Services

Our prophylactic dental cleaning for pets focuses on removing accumulated tartar to protect teeth and gums and prevent premature tooth loss. These routine cleanings not only promote the dental health of our patients, but also helps prevent the spread of bacterial infections to other internal organs such as the heart and kidneys.

We require all pets over 1 year of age to have pre-anesthetic blood testing to screen for problems with internal organs and possible infections. By doing so we help reduce the risks associated with anesthesia and may potentially detect other diseases unknown prior to surgery.

Radiology (X-ray)

We are equipped with a full service radiology unit that allows us to take x-ray films and examine them without sending patients out to a referral center.  Our automatic processor allows us to quickly develop films.  This convenience helps us to make timely decisions about each case the same day it comes in.  We also now have an ultrasound machine that we use for routine pregnancy exams, reproductive problems and routine diagnostic ultrasonography.

Treatment Room

Our treatment area is equipped to treat patients from simple procedures such as blood draws and bandage changes to more serious emergencies.  It is designed to allow easy and quick access to needed supplies in the event of an emergency.  We commonly place intravenous catheters for fluid administration in sick and dehydrated pets. We also use this area to prep patients for surgery. This is generally the busiest place in the hospital.

Surgery Room

The surgery suite is where we spay, neuter, declaw, fix broken legs, remove golf balls, sew up injuries, etc...  We have an additional anesthesia monitor with a pulse oximeter and ECG for monitoring the patients blood oxygenation  and heart rate during surgery.  We are also one of the few hospitals to have the option of laser surgery which help decrease pain, inflammation, and swelling.  Laser surgery has applications with almost any procedure and benefits the pet with less pain and quicker recovery time.

Orthopedic surgery

We perform a variety of advanced orthopedic procedures at our pet hospital.  We have advanced equipment and experience in orthopedic cases including fracture repair and joint surgeries (i.e. ACL/CCL ligament ruptures).  We also have board certified orthopedic surgeons available to our pet hospital for more advanced procedures.

Senior Pet Programs

We offer senior care for our aging pets.  A thorough examination as well as diagnostic testing available at our pet hospital allow us to provide the best care for your senior pet as well as manage common ailments including Periodontal Disease, Obesity, Endocrine disease, Kidney and liver disease, Heart disease, Arthritis, Loss of vision, behavior changes and even early detection of cancer.  Ask one of our staff about senior care.

Preventive Puppy and Kitten Care

Our hospital provides preventive and wellness care for your puppies and kittens.  Services we perform include examinations, deworming, intestinal parasite screenings, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, and education about your new pet.
